Jamie Webb – Founder Of Brighton Sports Therapy
We currently have a vacancy for a graduate Physiotherapist or Sports Therapist. We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and intelligent therapist who fits the ethos of our practice. If you just want to dish out exercises this is not the clinic for you. We are looking for someone with the desire to expand their knowledge and be open minded at all times. To go way beyond the text book. Taking on new ideas and concepts in your stride and really getting to know the clients. Your interpersonal skills must be outstanding.
We will only consider Sports Therapy or Physiotherapy graduates with a minimum 2:1 degree. Due to the nature of our work we cannot consider Sports Massage Therapists or those with Rehabilitation degrees. Previous experience is preferred but not essential for the right candidate. Whilst technical knowledge is vital we will be appointing mainly based on personality and your passion, desire and ability to learn all things Physiotherapy and Sports Therapy.
Extensive training will be provided to bring the successful candidate up to the level of treatment of the lead Sports Therapist, Jamie Webb, with 15 years experience, to ensure the excellent reputation of the clinic is maintained. Once a sufficient level is attained in the core principles of the practice you will then be encouraged to spread your wings and further your knowledge in the ways you deem most appropriate. Reporting back to your colleagues to engender a culture of shared learning.
Anyone with working knowledge of Douglas Heel’s Be Activated Techniques and / or Thomas Myers’ Anatomy Trains will be looked upon especially favourably. Working knowledge and experience of Maitland and Mulligan mobilisation will also be useful.
If you are just emailing round lots of places hoping to get some work please do not bother to apply. If you are looking for a long term betterment of your career and knowledge and appreciate the ethos of the clinic we try and get across in our website we’d love to hear from you. If this is you please email a copy of your CV and a dynamic and inspiring covering letter to Jamie@BrightonSportsTherapy.co.uk. It is very easy to spot covering letters that have been cut and pasted together. These will be rejected!
We are unable to take ERASMUS students.
Placement students looking for experience hours will be considered. You will need to stand out from the crowd as we get a lot of requests! Any placements can be on an observation basis only.
