I’m a London based Physiotherapist who drives down to Brighton for treatment sessions. Enough said!
With running being one of the largest participation sports in the UK it’s not a huge surprise that running injuries are common. There’s nothing better than the freedom of pulling on your trainers after a long, hard day, to go out, run and unwind. But when you’re no longer able to run all your troubles away, we understand it can leave you feeling frustrated and start to affect the quality of your life.
At Brighton Sports Therapy we use an advanced approach called Progressive Sports Therapy which encompasses the best of tried and tested techniques from Physiotherapy, Sports Massage, Joint Mobilisation and Muscle Activation – a new and amazingly powerful treatment which has staggering, immediate affects.
“I assure you that if Jamie is given a body suffering in any way from the traumas of sport, he will have you diagnosed, and be working on the problem within the first 30 minutes of your appointment, and you WILL leave after the 1st hour already aware of improvement.” – DP
You’ll be treated by highly experienced and skilled therapists who have a deep understanding of the mechanics of running and know what is required to help you get back on track. They will quickly identify what is causing your problems, ensure that your running technique is correct and not exacerbating any further issues and will soon give you the green light to get your running shoes back on, sometimes after just one session.
“I’m a Personal Trainer and athlete/runner and have been seeing Jamie for many years now for both myself and for referring clients. He’s always been very personable, approachable and most importantly knowledgeable. His healing hands have sorted out many a niggle and more and he always tries to get to the root cause of the problem rather than just treating the symptoms. I’ve always had good feedback from clients that have seen him. A great professional Sports Therapist.” – GB
As your body gets used to building up the mileage we will be on hand to ensure you have a long lasting and positive recovery. Many people even end up running faster as a result of our treatment: read this recent article from Runner’s World for more details.
At Brighton Sports Therapy our aim is to help people recover from their injuries and progress with their life. To this end we have developed a program of exercises to help avoid injury in the first place. Click the following link: Running Injury Avoidance Exercises.
